History
Typical Allgäu wooden houses are becoming increasingly rare. In order to adapt to modern comfort requirements and at the same time to preserve the original structure much effort is required, which is why the houses are often simply demolished nowadays. Thus, cultural history and beautiful buildings are lost.
Built in 1748
Local historians from Scheidegg date our house to about 1748. At that time, the region had just halfway recovered from the Thirty Years’ War, which depopulated the region a good deal and took a heavy toll on Scheidegg as well.
